Kent Roche is a shareholder in the Litigation department. He focuses his practice on commercial litigation, with an emphasis in defending securities class actions, shareholder derivative actions, and securities broker liability claims and the prosecution and defense of insurance coverage and breach of contract litigation. His recent cases have included securities class actions and shareholder derivative actions for ClearOne Communications, Nature's Sunshine Products, and FX Energy, multiple securities broker liability cases for Merrill Lynch, insurance coverage cases for ClearOne Communications and Chubb, and a breach of contract/breach of fiduciary duty case for DTE Energy.
Kent graduated in 1980 from the University of Utah School of Law, where he was a member of the Utah Law Review for two years and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. Kent received his undergraduate degree in 1977 from Idaho State University, where he majored in government.
Kent is a member of the litigation sections of both the American Bar Association and the Utah State Bar Association.
