David Heinhold is a member of the Litigation department of Parsons Behle & Latimer, with an emphasis in Commercial, Banking and Real Estate law. Mr. Heinhold has extensive experience representing businesses and individuals in commercial and real property disputes. Mr. Heinhold also represents local and national banks, local credit unions and other lenders in a variety of matters, including pursuing claims for breach of loan agreements, appraiser malpractice, escrow agent malpractice, and general collection matters. Mr. Heinhold recently assisted a national lender obtain summary judgment dismissing five lender liability claims and obtaining judgment for $44 million on a breach of guaranty claim.
Mr. Heinhold is also experienced in probate and elder law, including assisting families through the probate process, obtaining guardianships and conservatorships for persons with diminished capacity, and handling contested probate and guardianship/conservatorship matters.
Mr. Heinhold graduated with honors from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, where he was a William H. Leary Scholar. He also received a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Utah.
Mr. Heinhold currently serves as the Continuing Legal Education coordinator for the Banking and Finance Section of the Utah State Bar, and is an active member of the alumni board for the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. Mr. Heinhold has also been appointed by the Utah Supreme Court to serve as a judge pro tempore. In that capacity, he has been assigned to hear small claims cases in the Salt Lake City Justice Court.
