Paul Veasy is a shareholder in the Litigation department and chair of the firm's Commercial Litigation Practice Group. He concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, representing business and financial institutions in all courts, water rights litigation and real estate litigation, including landlord and tenant disputes. He has argued numerous appeals before the Utah Supreme Court and the Utah Court of Appeals, including representing the prevailing party in the most recent Utah Supreme Court case discussing Utah's foreclosure statute and its application to guarantors, and representing the prevailing party in the recent Utah Court of Appeals case addressing the extent to which a trust deed's dragnet clause will secure new indebtedness.

Mr. Veasy was admitted to the Idaho State Bar in 1980 and the Utah State Bar in 1983. Mr. Veasy joined the litigation department of Parsons Behle & Latimer in 1989, before which he practiced in Idaho until 1982 and then practiced with the Salt Lake City firm of Biele, Haslam & Hatch.

Mr. Veasy is a member of the Idaho State Bar, Utah State Bar, American Bar Association and the Salt Lake County Bar. Mr. Veasy is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for Banking Law and Commercial Litigation and maintains Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating, an AV. He continues to be recognized by Utah Business Magazine as one of Utah's "Legal Elite" and for 2008 and 2009 has been selected for inclusion in Mountain States Super Lawyers and Super Lawyers Corporate Counsel Edition for business litigation.
